Every experience is personally arranged, but many guests have similar questions about booking, transportation, pickup, payment and what to expect during the day.

Yes. Standard tours are exclusively for your own party. You will not be combined with guests from another booking, allowing the route, pace and conversation to remain personal throughout the experience.

Yes. Every private experience has room for personalisation. The route, pace, walking distances and stops can be adapted around your interests, mobility, available time, pickup location, weather conditions and attraction opening hours. You can request particular places or leave the planning to Mark. The agreed route provides a clear starting point while allowing the day to remain flexible.

The Rotterdam Signature Tour, Rotterdam & Schiedam, Rotterdam & Kinderdijk and Rotterdam & Beyond are available as five-hour and eight-hour experiences. Private Group Experiences can also be arranged for five or eight hours, while airport-transfer duration depends on the route and traffic conditions. Standard private tours normally include:

The price shown is for the complete private tour of up to three guests, not per person. Food, drinks, admission tickets and optional activities are paid for separately unless your confirmed proposal specifically states otherwise.

Coffee, refreshments or lunch breaks can be incorporated into the itinerary, with recommendations suited to the route and your preferences. Food and drinks are paid for separately, giving you the freedom to choose where and what you would like to enjoy.

Museums, attractions and activities can also be included when the timing allows. Mark can help select and reserve suitable tickets, with their cost clearly shown and added to your confirmed tour total before booking.

Transportation is included in standard private tours unless the page or proposal clearly states otherwise. The precise vehicle may vary according to the route, availability, luggage and number of guests. Larger-group experiences can use executive vehicles, minibuses or coaches arranged through trusted transport partners.

The standard private tours and prices shown on their individual pages are for one to three guests. Groups of four or more can request a Private Group Experience with suitable transport and a programme adapted to the group.

Booking, Pickup & Payment

You can submit the booking form on the relevant tour page or contact Mark directly through WhatsApp or email. A request is not treated as confirmed until the date, time, pickup location, tour option and other important details have been agreed.

Booking in advance is recommended, particularly during spring, summer, weekends and the cruise season. Short-notice enquiries are always welcome, and Mark will confirm whether your preferred date and time are still available.

Pickup and drop-off can normally be arranged at your hotel, the Rotterdam Cruise Terminal or another agreed location in Rotterdam. For journeys beyond the city, airport transfers or special group programmes, alternative pickup and drop-off arrangements can be discussed.

No upfront payment is required for standard private tours. Payment is made after the tour by card or cash in euros. Larger group experiences, external transport bookings and specially arranged programmes may have different payment terms, which will always be explained clearly in the proposal.

Please contact Mark as soon as possible if your plans change. Whenever possible, he will help find a practical alternative or new date. Any specific cancellation conditions connected to reserved tickets, restaurants, hired vehicles or external partners will be explained before the booking is confirmed.

Comfort, Accessibility & the Day Itself

Walking distances, pace and stops can often be adapted. Please share any mobility requirements before confirming the booking so Mark can prepare a comfortable and realistic route. Accessibility at museums, historic buildings, boats and other attractions may vary and can be checked in advance.

Comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the weather are recommended. You are welcome to bring a camera, phone, mobility aid or anything else that helps you enjoy the experience. Chilled bottled water is provided during standard private tours.

Tours continue in most weather conditions. The route can be adjusted by changing the balance between driving, walking, sheltered locations and indoor visits. In severe or unsafe conditions, Mark will contact you to discuss the most sensible arrangement.

Yes. Private tours allow time for photographs and short spontaneous stops whenever the route and schedule permit. If photography is particularly important to you, mention this when requesting your tour so suitable viewpoints and locations can be considered while planning the route.

Mark personally guides in English and Dutch. For larger group experiences, additional professional guides may sometimes be arranged depending on the group and requested language.

Groups & Airport Transfers

Yes. Private Group Experiences are available for groups of four or more, including families, friends, companies, delegations, cruise parties and special occasions.

For four to eight guests, suitable private transport can be arranged according to the group and programme. For nine or more guests, a minibus or coach with a professional driver is normally required, allowing Mark to concentrate on guiding and coordinating the experience.

Starting prices are shown on the Private Group Experiences page. The final proposal reflects the group size, transport, duration and any requested meals, tickets or activities.

Yes. Private door-to-door airport transfers are available between Rotterdam and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Eindhoven Airport.
